5.24 Release Notes

  • Customer Pricing - You can now establish Customer Pricing with a markup percentage from Product Price or Cost.
    • The Customer Administration screen now has a new area for Pricing. You can :
      • Markup Base: None (no change to Product Price), Price or Cost
      • Add Percentage: Enter percentage to mark up the Price or Cost to establish.  Negative Percentages will result in Sales Order prices below the Product Price or Cost.

    • When you manually create a Sales Order, if the product entered has an established price, the Sales Order line price will be adjusted based on the Customer’s pricing.  The Customer’s pricing formula will display at the top of the Sales Order Pricing panel.
    • You can manually override any price on the Sales Order.  If a Customer Pricing price is overridden, the new price will display in red font to indicate the change.  Also, the Customer’s Pricing formula will then display as “Manual” in the Pricing panel.
  • Clear Product Pricing Data Utility - You can run the ClearProducPricingData.exe utility to zero out Price and Cost values for all products.  You may consider doing this if your existing price and/or cost data is not dependable, and you want to start with a clean slate.  This program can be found in the EmbTrak Utilities directory, which is typically only installed on the EmbTrak server.  Caution: Make a database backup prior to running this utility.  It runs immediately without any prompts.
  • Sales Order Product Line Entry - When entering a product on a Sales Order line, if the Product has no Product Type, the user will be prompted to enter one.  Select the Product Type from the dropdown, then click Save.  The Product Type will be saved for the line as also to the Product record.
