5.20 Release Notes
- Decoration Media -- System - Administration - Decoration - Media. Manufacturer Color Palettes (formerly known as Color Palettes) are now associated with a particular medium, for example, Thread or Ink.
You can assign a property to a specific Medium such as Metallic.
- Manufacturer Color Palettes -- System - Administration - Decoration - Manufacturer Color Palettes. The Manufacturer Color Palettes screen is where you can view and maintain color palettes and their colors.
- The top part of the screen is the Palette area.
- The Palettes are assigned a Medium. The Manufacturer and Palette Name should match the standard naming convention for the Manufacturer.
- The palette must be Selected for the colors to be visible in Color Coordination.
- In cases of duplicate Color Numbers across palettes, the Palette Priority determines which palette’s color would be used. For example, if a user enters color 1234 into Color Coordination and 1234 appears in two different palettes, the color in the Palette with the highest priority will be used.
- To rearrange Palette Priorities, click and drag the palette to the preferred order.
- You can add a Palette using the +.
- You can delete a Palette using the X. If a color on a palette has been used on an order or color card, the palette cannot be deleted. It can be unselected.
- The lower part of the screen displays the colors for the selected palette.
- Number is the color number as designated by the manufacturer.
- Alias is how you refer to the number. For example, while Madeira’s Classic color Carrot is 1178, you may refer to it as m1178 to easily identify it as a Madeira thread.
- Aliases are helpful if you have duplicate numbers across palettes so you do not have to depend on the Palette Priority.
- You can add a Color using the +. When adding a new color, you can enter either the HTML (hex value) or Red/Green/Blue values.
- You can delete a Color using the X. If a color has been used on an order or color card, the color cannot be deleted.
- If the palette’s Medium has a Media-specific property (ex. Metallic), the column for that property will display as well. The values for Media-specific properties are only visible on this screen.
